We like to keep our schedule easy-going. You are absolutely encouraged to host a spontaneous workshop or give a talk. Whether you want to drop a quick lightning talk or talk for an hour, there is plenty of space on the schedule! Just ping the Infodesk (DECT 1111), i4n (4444), or 0pal (9725). We’ll help you figure out a good time slot and get you sorted with whatever resources you need (projector, PA, space, etc.).

• Sarah: Debunking Autism
  • In this talk, we’ll be debunking the common prejudices and stereotypes about autism that still float around in people's heads. All too often, autistic individuals are met with statements like: “You can speak and you didn't bite the person diagnosing you, so you can't possibly be autistic…” Come along on a little journey into the worlds inside neurodivergent minds, learn some new perspectives, and help break down these misconceptions.

  • Are you actually an individual? What is an individual, anyway? Are Siamese twins one person or two? Is sleep death? Human consciousness is hard enough. Do you think it's time to figure out digital ones? Well, I do.

• Autism (Nerd-)Talk and Tea with Sarah
  • The goal is to create a safe space for neurodivergent entities at HOA to connect and have a cozy exchange over a cup of tea (or any other beverage). Everyone who is neurodivergent themselves (no official diagnosis required!) or who is interested in the topic of autism through their contact with neurodivergent people is warmly welcome to join.

• Back Gammon with Hiram (daily, depending on interest)
  • Discover this 5,000-year-old board game for two players! This workshop is perfect for beginners and curious minds who want to learn an offline, social game featuring simple rules and deep strategic appeal. You will learn the basics, pick up some tactical tricks, and enjoy a round in a relaxed atmosphere. If you own a board, feel free to bring it along to HOA!

• Juggling with Luxo (daily)
  • Want to pick up a new skill or practice your flow? Luxo is hosting open juggling sessions every single day at HOA! Whether you are a pro, completely inexperienced, or just curious to watch and learn, everyone is welcome to drop by and join in. Luxo will be bringing some juggling equipment to share, but if you have your own balls, clubs, rings, or other flow toys, it would be awesome if you brought them along too. Come hang out, learn something new, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere!

• Lachyoga Vier Jahreszeiten mit Troodon (tba)
  • Vorraussetzungen: Lust auf Lachen, eine gefüllte Wasserflasche und keine Scheu vor Albernheiten.
  • Ort und Zeit wird noch bekannt gegeben. Dauer ungefähr 45 Minuten.

• **Yerba Mate Session 🧉
  • Ever wanted to try out the traditional mate tea, which the popular drink is based on? Or you already are a matero and would like to enjoy a mate together? Then this session is for you. I show you how to prepare a mate and then we pass it around and share stories.
  • I plan to have a session everyday in the afternoon at ~16 hours. If the weather is good we can sit a the lake, otherwise we'll look for a rain-proof place.

New this year: Opt-in Recordings! For the first time in HOA history, we’re offering to record sessions. While we don't have a massive C3-style VOC, our team is running a sweet and simple recording environment: a video camera for the speaker, direct device output capture for your slides, two microphones, and a PA. Recording is strictly opt-in. So if you prefer your session to be an exclusive, in-person-only experience without cameras, that is perfectly fine too. For any questions regarding the recording setup, just reach out to i4n (4444).
